Most of you out there have already heard the stories about the layers upon layers of clothing these Russian children must endure during childhood. I noticed the weather will be in the high 70's on "Gothca Day". I didn't pack the snowsuit, but I do have a very fleecy outfit, heavy winter coat, stockings, socks, oh yeah, and a toboggan to take Alex away from the orphanage. Once in the confines of our apartment, I'm stripping that kiddo down for some Commando time.
I want to congratulate our new friends Michelle and Ian. There "Gotcha Day" was today. I haven't heard from Michelle in over 24 hours, so please, send up some prayers for her. I just hope their precious angel is settling in with her forever mommy.
Brack just informed me he is packed. I must go now to see about some last minute details and to weigh our obviously overweight luggage. One thing I did forget to mention is that the vehicles our drivers pick us up in are relatively small, meaning, it is no SUV, not even close! I will take a photo of this and post it, because this is rather amusing to see all our stuff crammed in the tiny trunk without an inch to spare.
