Well, most of my shopping is finished. I can't say that everything is wrapped. Even if they were, Alex is quite capable of unwrapping them, quickly. Our tree is up and decorated. John Robert helped. He placed all of the ornaments in the same spot. I had to do a little refining. With my type A personality it was very difficult to let it go... Our tree is, however, a prisoner! We have erected a gate to keep Alex out. He will sometimes get behind the gate and rearrange ornaments or presents.
By now most of you should have our Christmas cards in hand. I seriously underestimated the difficulty of getting two kids to look at the camera while smiling. Most of the thousand photos I took look like the one above. Brack actually made the color photo on the card while I tried to entertain the boys.
John Robert has seen the "real" Santa at Bass Pro Shops. He has many things on his list. I just hope the same stuff was in his letter to Santa. Alex is not sure about Santa. I did get a photo. Alex looks like he's about to jump out of Santa's lap.
The kids at church had their play. John Robert was a sheep. As you can see, he's not happy about it. In fact, as he was walking down the aisle to the front of the church, he saw Brack and told him of his dislike for the costume. He wanted to be an angel instead. (Maybe next year).
Our church had the cantata today. I had a very small solo. (Four measures, I think). I made it through without fainting, so I call it a success! I'm much happier as a choir member, but was glad for the opportunity.
After this past week, I can appreciate elementary teachers and mom's with more than two kids. I was asked to come to John Robert's school and sit with a class while the teacher's had their Christmas meal. I had a first grade class. At first I was very interesting to them. Then, they gained control. Most of the kids had their hands in their shirts making noises with their arm pits. Then, everyone had to sharpen their pencils and then came the bathroom! Another little girl wanted to start writing names on the board. (She was the mother hen of the group). Finally, after my reading of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (missing several pages I might add, but thanks to that being one of John Robert's favorite, I ad libbed right through it). The teacher finally came back and not a minute too soon.
JRob and Arock have tag teamed me with sickness this week. JRob with a virus and Arock with RSV. I can handle the common cold or diarrhea, but both these are very labor intensive for the mom. For some reason Brack didn't hear JRob puking all night long??? Both are much better now, thank goodness.
John Robert did inform us that he and his girlfriend were separated (she threw a crayon that hit him in the eye. He did keep the crayon, he said. KINDERGARTEN ROMANCE!) That's an update on what's happening here. I'm sure I've left out some funnies. Got to run for now. I must wrap more gifts.

I love the pictures, especially the one where they are laying in the floor...too cute. Life is crazy now but then I think about how one day I will wish my house to be noisy and crazy again instead of worring where they are and who they are with. Merry Christmas! Hope your Santa is also good to you!!!
