Jerry Rock is found. His name is "Alex". He looks a lot like his cousin Jake!
Wanted to share what we did last night. Brack & I got really brave and decided to take the metro to find some American cuisine. We made is there and back. We encountered two language barrier situations during this excursion. The first was in the line to purchase metro tickets. We were about to be at the window and a women came up to us and started speaking. This is what we interpreted: "I'm really in a hurry and would like to cut line." We were ok with this in that we really couldn't get in a spitting contest and it probably wouldn't be polite, since it is her country. However, we are sure the man behind us said the following: "Get at the end of the line. I've been standing here for 15 minutes." I'm sure there were some expletives involved, just not sure which ones.
Secondly, we got off the metro at the correct stop and got to the street. Nothing is in English, NOTHING! We started to walk and decided we couldn't read Russian, we could only speak it (HA HA). We found a "security guard" and a man talking, so we asked them. We interpreted the man as saying: "Go to the crosswalk, then to the underpass, then turn by the McDonald's. That will be 5 dollars." We found the Hard Rock and had a big fat hamburger and BBQ sandwich.
We will be sight seeing most of the afternoon tomorrow, so I hope to have something more exciting to report.

I'm so excited!!! I loved the pictures. Brad & I got a new adoptee to our family today. But I only had to go to rivergate to get her. Not too many language barriers there!
I'm so happy for you guys. I told my friends at work all about it today.
It sounds like you are also enjoying your Russian visit, and glad you didn't have to battle in the metro.
Does Diet Coke taste the same over there?
I hope the rest of your visit is good and I can't wait to see you!
Hey guys! We are so happy that your trip is going well. The pictures are a nice touch for the blog. I can't wait for Luke to meet his new running buddy. They should definitely keep us young! Please post more pictures when you can. Hope the rest of your trip goes smoothly. Take Care and Be Safe!
The Frierson 5 are soooo excited that "Jerry Rock" has been found. Love the pictures of you all and the classic Red Square pic. Please send a pic of grass growing in Moscow since we have only seen snow during our 3 trips. Please tell those at Victoria Travel hello from us. We will continue to pray for you all. Love Fri 5
