Most of this blog had been dedicated to Alex, but I must share a funny about John Robert. We have a time getting him motivated to get out the door in the morning. I was talking to a friend who gave me an idea (Thanks, Lori!). We suggested that John Robert use his John Wayne alarm clock to wake up. We then had a punch list of thing to do before heading out the door. Last night was the first trial period. I had a meeting so Brack took the kids home and put them to bed. When I finally got into bed, i asked Brack if he had set John Robert's alarm. "No" he said. No big deal I thought. We can just wake him up and start on the list.
At about 2 a.m. John Robert shows up at my bedside. "Mom, I'm ready for school. I'm dressed and I have my list. See what all I've done!" As I slowly opened one eye in search of the clock, I noticed the time. I said, "John Robert, it's the middle of the night, go back to bed." I escorted him to his room and fell head first into his mound of stuffed animals. When I reached over to set his alarm for 7 a.m., I noticed it was set for 1:30 a.m. He said he set it himself! What independence!
I must give kudos to the first born child biological child. He did get out of the house this morning without a hitch. You can bet he had help setting his alarm tonight.
By the way Alex is doing fine. He had his first professional photos made today. So everyone, I expect to see these on your frig!

That is TOO cute!! I want to know about this punch system. I have a hard time getting my 2 out the door. If one gets ready the other is dragging. I want to know more about this...
I have to say I'm proud of John Robert for being so responsible.
