On Saturday we received Alex's Certificate of Citizenship. Yes, I know it's hard to believe that the government has been so efficient in getting this very important document to us in 5 weeks exactly from the date he officially stepped on US soil and became a citizen. Now it's time to do some more paperwork: Social Security card & US Passport.
Alex understands so much. It is unbelievable that just 6 weeks ago he had heard English, only when we had visited him in the orphanage! He can say a few things: mama, dada, bubba, banana, but he understands very well what we are saying to him. Except the word "No". He seems to have forgotten "Nyet", too! He can blow kisses and give slobbery ones. He waves hello and bye-bye. He can take several steps, but then decides to drop and crawl.
Alex is just doing great. John Robert has even started loving us again. I think he's happy he has this new experiment, called a baby brother, to work with everyday. It makes for very exciting times around here!
