Brack & I have had the best week. We started the week with only one boy and ended with two. Life is good! God is so good!
We are getting homesick for John Robert. We also can't wait to share our story with you.
Today consisted of an 8 panel doctors visit for us. (Very comical if you ask me.) Afterwards we stopped by Red Square and took a tour inside St. Basil's Cathedral. The inside is not as spectacular as the outside, but we've always wanted to see it. Every dome is like a mini chapel inside. The small rooms contain icons and paintings of religious and historical events.
We took a quick trip to the "GUM". I shopped in a store which originated in England, but everything is made in India. (Sounds like USA/China scenario, right?) Our interpreter said it was very popular because the clothes, etc. were very inexpensive. I, however, still thought things were expensive. Everything in Moscow is about 5 times what it costs in the US. I couldn't really tell you how much I spent. Guess I'll know when I get the Visa bill!
Brack & I met up with another family adopting from our same agency and ate at a Ukrainian restaurant for dinner. NO BORSCH FOR ME! We even got to meet to other couples from other agencies that were adopting here. It's always nice to hear their stories.
Brack & I are exhausted and can't wait to be home. We found out that the Delta flight back to Atlanta is known as the "baby" flight, due to the large amount of adopted children on the flight. So much for a relaxing flight. I guess we can take notes, though.
See you soon!
