Blessed Homecoming

Brack, Alex & I cannot be happier to be back in the good 'ole USA. Our trip home was exhausting, but could have been much worse. Alex bit the dust in Atlanta and slept the entire flight from Atlanta to Knoxville. He was out cold. When we arrived we shook, poked and rattled him to wake him. Finally he came around enough to show off that sweet smile for everyone waiting. When we arrived in Knoxville we were greeted at the airport by family (all the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins) and friends. John Robert ran up to greet us with much joy and excitement. He was so glad to finally meet his baby brother in person. (What a relief). John Robert hugged him and tried to carry him. It was a sight!

Uncle Chuck brought the bus down with the whole family to pick us up. Margaret and Roger drove our vehicles back to Morristown so we could all have a family bonding time on the hour drive from the airport. (Thanks guys!) Alex had a ball meeting his new family. John Robert is learning to be a great big brother. He wanted Alex to follow him so he said "Here boy, here boy." On the drive to our house Alex and John Robert were in the back seat. Alex was a little fussy (I can't imagine why?). Brack & I were telling John Robert to talk to him and entertain him. First John Robert showed Alex his light saber, at a close distance. Then John Robert said "What do you do when he's in a panic?" (I was thinking to myself, you haven't seen panic yet!). All in all, John Robert is taking this big brother thing pretty well.

As I read your blog of your "homecoming" and look at the airport pictures I can't help but get teared up. I think I forget the love of family and friends is such a blessing. I'm so happy for your family! I can't wait to catch up! Love ya, Carol
